Company
Abbott Golf Photography is a fledgling company located in the heart of the country. Our introductory product is a children’s picture book. All of our products will be created using golf photography. We are currently creating a line of golf greeting cards that will be available in late summer 2009.
Abbott Golf Photography strives to be environmentally conscious. Recycled paper was used in My Golfing Day with Dad. We regularly recycle or re-use materials. Abbott Golf also makes an effort to support local sources and businesses. All printing is done in the United States. When available, local products and businesses are utilized.
Book
My Golfing Day with Dad was first written several years ago. As a new mom, I had searched for golf storybooks to read with my child. I had difficulty finding kid’s fiction golf books. Most of the books I could find were instructional, but I was looking for a fun storybook that involved golfing. Thus, My Golfing Day with Dad was created.
Carol Abbott – Author/Photographer
I grew up on a farm in the Midwest and have a background in both business and education. Reading and photography were hobbies of mine from a young age. I learned to love photography when I realized that it was a way for me to be creative.
As a child, my only experience with golf was when it was on tv and my dad would shake his head and say, “I don’t know why someone would want to chase a little white ball around a pasture.”. His view has since evolved and he has become an avid golfer. I was formally introduced to golf about eight years ago. My husband showed me the basics and my love/hate relationship with golf began.
